ALPHA MINI

The Alpha Mini is a shorter, high-performance evolution of Bing's midrange Alpha Pin single fin. The rails were thinned, vee reduced, and double concave added to the bottom, changes that suited a quad fin setup better than the original single fin. At 6'10" it balances midrange paddle power with a high-performance turning arc, while at 6'0" a tucked-edge shortboard rail was added for release, speed, and maneuverability. The wide point forward gives paddle assistance similar to a fish outline without limiting turning. Team rider Christian Marcher, who suggested shortening the model, describes it as feeling like a twin fin through the middle of a carve while still allowing hard pushing on any size day due to the pulled-in pintail and quad fin setup. Sizes run 5'8" to 6'10" with volumes from 27.8L to 40.1L.
